I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Had a bit of an adventure the past few weeks including an ER visit and hospital stay due to some chest pains for several days right at my heart. After much testing, no heart-related cause was found. First frisbee game of the year today- 5v4, with everyone playing all game, I was on the smaller team. We battled hard, both teams had lots of chances, and my team won 5-4 in the end. Fun times.

Never found a cause. Not heart attack/blockage. Not blood clot. Not digestive track. Possibly just stress/anxiety related?

13 people at frisbee on a chilly, breezy day. Other team had sub. My team won 5-3. My achilles really hurt and limited my running- I should not play twice in a week, but it's hard to not as we rarely do and it's one of the highlights of my week.

Rain later in the week so played frisbee today. 5v5. Played to 7 instead of 5 points. Good game- pretty well played on both sides. I collided with a teammate, knocking her down and earning myself a hard finger into the eye. My team won 7-6.

Nice day for frisbee, sunny and 60, a little breeze. 5v5 then one guy got injured (felt something pop in upper calf, went down immediately) so we did 4v4. My team won 5-3. We've had bad luck with 2 major non-contact injuries this week.

no workout yesterday, just leg rehab. Tried frisbee today- there were only 6-7 of us so played on small field. I had awkward step which twisted my bad foot in the way to really hurt my recovering Achilles, so I sat out after that. May have really set myself back. Nuts.

Rehab today. The PT gave me clean bill, cancelled remaining appointments, and said I should keep slowly adding load.

Middle School championship track meet tonight. Boys got 4th in Conference, girls won! This is oly the second year of track in our conference, and our girls have won both years. We only had 5-6 practices, and we don't even have a track to practice on, so I think that's pretty good. Having never run hurdles or done long jump or high jump, we had kids win some of those. Cool.

My wife is out of town for 9 days so I'm pulling Mr Mom to all 5 kids while trying to work full time. Extra stress pushed me too far, presumably, so I started feeling sick on Tuesday and very sick Wednesday. Feeling partly better now so hopefully will be able to work out some tomorrow.
