Personal:

I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

AM- flying to Indiana for work trip today, so ran this morning. It was pretty slow. I think most miles were 7:45-8:15 or so. I did 1:28, so I'll call it 11 miles. Last day with these test shoes today, but they already sent me another pair to wear and review.

AM- 8 miles in Terre Haute, IN. Ended up running by a minimum security prison and the wastewater treatment facility. I wouldn't suggest this route as the "best of Terre Haute" running tour. I spent a month here during HS. Feels kind of like a run down town.

I've been having a terrible time sleeping again. Stress, I think. I wake up most days before 5 am, often 3 am. I'm tired in the evenings, but often toss and turn for hours before falling asleep. Right now, for example, I've been awake since 4 am Fri morning and it's 2:15 am Sat morning. I'm conducting an unintentional experiment of one to see the impacts of 3-5 hrs sleep for weeks on end. This can't end well.

AM- After my 3 hours of sleep, I finally got up and went running. Beautiful sunny day, mid-50's. Right away, I felt a lot more energetic than the past few days. Ran out to Georgia Rd area, as usual. Gmap-pedometer puts my run at 11.0006 miles- I guess my internal odometer of where to turn around for 5.5 miles is pretty darn accurate. Averaged 7:11 for the run. Now I get to go set up tables and chairs at the church, take kids to a birthday party, and spend the day from 4 pm on at the church for Stake Conference. We've got a 70 coming, so I'm pretty excited. Now I just have to hope I can stay awake.
