I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos! And I have the absolute best wife in the world. And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!
Lunch- back at work, back to frisbee. Stormy, so a few minutes of hard rain, quite a bit of drizzle, but still had 15 people. We lost 5-3, which is pretty good since I'd saw we were outgunned in terms of good throwers.
One of my most pathetic workouts ever. Planned to run 8-10 miles. My legs and whole body immediately let me know that wasn't happening. Aborted the run and ended up a slow bike ride for 30 minutes. Pretty pathetic- just very tired. Not sure how much of today was coming back from a week sick and not working out, general tiredness, and the low cal diet catching up to me. Either way, not a day to remember. At least not for any amazing workout reasons.
AM- planned run of 8 miles was a bit painful at the start (lower back soreness?) but I got into a groove. 8 turned into 10 turned into 11. Steady and slow, 8:00 pace. Felt good to feel good running. I'll take it.
