I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos! And I have the absolute best wife in the world. And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!
AM- 11. Felt sluggish at first, then fine during the middle, then a bit tired again at the end but good enough to add an extra mile. And I kept it at 7:30 miles the whole time, too, which I don't always do these days.
Lunch- no run due to engineering week lunch, but I did make it for frisbee (with an uncomfortably full belly). Fun game- I even got upended and landed flat on my back during a jump, knocking the breath out of me. I can already tell my back will be very sore tomorrow. Worth it.
AM- 7 miles. Started 8-ish, finished sub-7:30. Legs felt better than most Saturdays, but back is definitely sore from my fall yesterday. It was chilly- 27 deg and no wind. Only the second run I've worn pants in 2 years.
