Personal:

I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Walking to check on my kids Wed night, I didn't turn on the light in the hallway and ran into some furniture, toe first. Yes, it hurt.

Went to the doc Fri morning for an X-ray.

The yellow arrow is pointing to the bone that broke off my toe when I stubbed it. That chunk also happens to attach to the tendon that flexes the toe. Not something you want to run 2.5 million steps with at Grindstone 100 next week.

Anyways, I'm pretty bummed about this. I'm going to an Orthopedic specialist Monday morning, but I'm likely done running for at least a month or two, which means my racing season is over. Bummer. I was very excited for the next two races.

Sorry about the bad news, that sucks. Get healed up.

Now, besides the purple toe, those are some knarly toes! You must be an endurance athlete with a foot like that! :)

That stinks! You'll be back before you know it.
