I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos! And I have the absolute best wife in the world. And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!
No running at all this week. Just recover from my race. Marci and I are taking a trip to NYC (sans children, except Jr in her belly) from Wed-Sun, and I promised her I wouldn't even bring clothes to work out. Should be a nice vacation.

Congratulations Jon! Also, you could probably put that on that "you know you're an ultrarunner" list when you have to promise your wife you won't even bring workout clothes on a vacation just days after running a 100.

That's a good one, Joe. Or how about "you know you're an ultrarunner when you try to plan giving birth around your racing schedule..."

My wife doesn't like when I run on vacation also. So it doesn't look good for the Steeplechase this weekend. I am on the wait list but I had a outpatient surgery done yesterday that I have been waiting to get done and I'm not supposed to run for a while although I think I would be fine.

On an unrelated note, Jon, congratulations: Greenville SC has the lowest gas prices of any metro area in the country today. Enjoy.

Well, that's good news, at least.
