AM- planned to do a BW, but felt like crap and only did a minute hard.  Slogged through 12 miles.

Lunch- 7

I've been neglecting myself a bit- not enough sleep and not eating enough (such as still being hungry right when I finish my lunch).  So, I ate a ton today.  And plan to sleep tonight.  Hopefully I start feeling more recovered, which would be especially useful for my race next Saturday.

No Ron Paul entries this week?

I actually voted for him in the TX primary in 08. Now I just think we need someone who can win against Obama (Romney) even if they don't share the same zeal for responsible govt.

I do enjoy your posts though, even though I work in the defense sector.

Great mileage lately, eat, eat, eat!

I actually had a RP youtube clip on Monday but then deleted it. My wife keeps bugging me to stop beating everyone over the head with it. I don't want to be [too] annoying :)

I worked in the defense sector for 8 years, actually. Rockets. Sometimes political/economic dreams run into the reality of needing a job. Lots of good people work in the govt.

He is a healthy opinion for people to see. As much as we might want a Ron Paul to be running the show, I think getting his views and ideas out there are the most important part of his campaign.

GE makes the engines on the jet I fly (B-1). (I think I've seen you mention working for GE). Let's just hope someone can defeat Obama, or our kids are going to pay with their standard of living...

I think RP knows that, too- it's more about the ideas than anything.

Yes, I work for GE, but on gas turbines to make electricity. I know some people in Aviation, though.

I'm afraid all of us, including the kids, will suffer money wise unless Ron Paul is elected, ends the Fed, and gets us off fiat money. Honestly, I don't see much difference on the important items (foreign policy, monetary policy, economic freedom, etc) between any of the candidates other than RP.

For my MBA I actually wrote a paper on ending the Fed and the gold standard. Baby steps. Fiat money is scary in and of itself, but going to a gold standard has a lot of risks that could make things tough for a good while. I know it's like ripping off a bandaid, but that bandaid might bee a little too sticky. I'd hope that we can elect a moderate and once the country sees the successes of responsible fiscal policies, we can work toward better monetary policies.
