I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

AM- XT then stretch, then a trip to the chiropractor.

Black Thursday- Mass layoffs among engineers at GE Power today. My team lost 40% of fellow application engineers, the guy sitting 1 cube down is gone, 2 former teammates, 4 people in the team I work with... it goes on and on. 17 in my department. It's an absolute bloodbath. There were 11 engineers doing what I do on my team 3 years ago. Now there's 3 of us, and I'm the only one with more than a year on the team. And the amount of work has increased significantly. I will miss all the people that are leaving- so many good, hardworking, nice people.

Sorry to hear this continues to go on, without the promotion it really sucks. Hang in there. There are a couple of job postings here again...and more to come.

That is so stressful. You're in my thoughts.
