AM- 8. Ran right by a group of about 9 turkeys, including 3 toms, at the start of my run. First time I've seen 3 males. Also saw 16 deer during my run in small groups. On the way back, I armed myself with rocks and a stout branch for a fight with the turkeys, but they had moved 20 yards off the trail and didn't charge me.

Lunch- frisbee. 65 deg, gorgeous. 7v7, but not my finest day- I had a few open receivers in the end zone that I missed, and then I dropped the winning point at the end. We lost 4-5. Doh.

I take it from your arsenal, that you have been charged by wild turkeys in the past?

Yes. The first 2 are the best stories.

I saw a turkey at the park today and thought, "I wonder if that turkey is still bothering Jon." This one was solo, which is odd. I usually see them in larger groups (at my parents' typically). This particular one was mostly scared and opened its mouth at me (to hiss like a goose perhaps?).

Lol! How did I miss 6 turkey stories! Wow. That has to be a record.
