AM- According to the Weather Channel, it was negative 10 deg F when I left on my run.  Without wind chill.  With wind chill, it was negative "you must have a death wish!"  So I did 14 miles on the treadmill at about 7:15 avg pace.

PM- 8 more.

Time for a fast running blog retreat to Maui.

From Nic on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 16:03:57 from 72.253.160.40

Maui is cool but I prefer Kauai. Any FRBers can stay at my house! If it's cold when I go running I just have to wear a shirt (& shorts of course).

From Holt on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 16:08:03 from 204.113.55.41

I am still going to complain about 20 degrees!

From Jon on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 16:32:16 from 75.169.153.150

Yeah, Nic, I prefer Kauai, too. Actually, I've never been to Maui, but I like Kauai more than Oahu.

Holt- you're more than welcome to, as long as we can complain about 93 deg days in summer...

Impressive run on the TM. I am all for a warm weather running retreat.

Jon, my friend Pat B has been outside running in the sub zero for the last couple of days...I told him he was crazy!!

From Jon on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 17:33:15 from 75.169.153.150

Jeff- I've done that before. Many times- but it is crazy (a bit). I'm just soft in my old age, plus I'm doing everything I can to make it easy with my high mileage.

From Paul on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 17:40:33 from 76.27.122.123

Seriously you guys, it's not that bad out!

From Jon on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 18:00:41 from 75.169.153.150

Wait, Paul, let me quote your post from today:

"Bitterly cold this morning"

I usually don't describe pleasant mornings as "bitterly cold"... :)

Yeah, it's not that bad once in a while or for only an hour. But twice every day, all the runs in the dark, it adds up for me. I guess I'm just a woos (sp?).

From Paul on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 18:07:10 from 76.27.122.123

"Wuss". You can always refer to my comment at Cody's blog if you need to check the spelling.

See, the phrase "bitterly cold" means "great weather" for Packer fans. For example, "It was bitterly cold at Lambeau field last Monday! Perfect weather!". So in my blog this morning, I was actually raving about how wonderful it was.
