Quick report- Sick enough Friday to almost turn the car around and drive home, but ran anyways.  First 18 miles were ok, last 33 were not quite so much.  Still had a lot of fun and enjoyed the day, despite abject physical suffering (in other words, my day was typical for most mid-pack ultra runners).  Good times.

Sorry Jon...

Looking ahead, I did some research on that Foothills Trail record. So you are trying to run this 77 mile trail in less than 16:52. Correct?

From Jon on Sun, Nov 06, 2011 at 19:35:14 from 74.177.82.194

Correct. If I do it. Which I probably won't. I'm sick and worn out, and will probably take a little break.

Hmmm... It was probably poor form for me to bring that up today.

You're pretty darn amazing though.

Well some times your the show and other times you watch the show...sounds like this time you had good view.

Still, a nice fall day out of the trial. Priceless!

Yeah, can't imagine how being sick could affect your race. A bit nutty to stick it out. Nice work.

Sorry it wasn't a day like you wanted. Maybe you should quit the crazy ultra stuff and go after that 2:30 again!:)
