I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos! And I have the absolute best wife in the world. And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!
Lunch- 8 on a cool, blustery day. Hoped to go to Paris Mtn after work, but ended up not having time. Tomorrow and Thursday, for sure. I need dirt!

History lesson for you. Paris Mountain is named after a guy named Richard Pearis - established the first trading post in what would later be called Greenville. They misspelled his name when they named the mountain. Paris Mountain is a geological oddity. Even knowledgeable geologists can't figure out why it's there. All runners know that it was created for them though.
Greenville was originally named Pleasantburg. Hence the road.
Greenville is named after Revolutionary War general Nathaniel Greene. Hero of the southern campaigns, but a Quaker from Rhode Island.
Poinsette Highway is named after Joel Poinsette, America's first ambassador to Mexico, and a South Carolina native. Brought a nifty red and green plant back with him from Mexico that some people thought would be great around Christmas time.
