I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Planned day off.  Feel better than I ever have after a marathon- I can even go up and down stairs without leaning on the banister.  Some soreness, of course, but nothing bad other than one foot.  Hopefully a bit of rest/easy running will have me fully recovered and ready to train through the winter.

Here is the article from the Herald Journal yesterday.  Paul looks relaxed and Logan is actually smiling.  But I was glad to see those two get the credit they deserve for leading the pacing crew, greatly helping Steve, Adam, and myself.  And now I can forever tease them that they are official members of "my" entourage.  Makes me feel like Tom Brady or something, except with a better looking wife and kid (mine, not his)!

The link wasn't working. Can you check on it.

I'm working on it with Cody. Will be fixed shortly. Don't worry, though, Logan- you look great in the picture.

Paul looks too relaxed. Jon I think it's time you moved on to something other than the green shorts. They are cool don't get me wrong- it's just time for a change.

What??? Not my beloved shorts! We have been through so much together and they are so hideous! Anything that distracts the other runners has to be a good thing.

Great job on the marathon. It has been fun to read your blog and watch the preparation you have put in to this race.

From David on Mon, Sep 17, 2007 at 22:51:22

Shouldn't the story have been about the shorts? Who's running that paper?

From marci on Tue, Sep 18, 2007 at 01:59:30

Amen to Clydes comment!!! the shorts have got to go.

From Paul Petersen on Tue, Sep 18, 2007 at 09:57:01

If the green shorts somehow affected Aggie football, then they might get their own story.

Time to update your PR on the sidebar, Jon.

I thought I did yesterday. Doesn't seem to update.
