I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

AM- 6 miles, 1 shooting star. Need to eat more food- after about 2 months of always weighing between 137-141, my weight has now dropped to 134-136 for the past week.

PM- 7 slow miles with the jogging stroller, Cody, and his stroller.  94 deg.  58:30.

Adrenaline- 452, 767- 376

Weight: 0.00

Cool about the shooting star. That is one thing that I've noticed living in UT there is so much more sky here than in Chicago or even St. Louis.

You have to go on my weight gain diet. I've been eating Icees after every run and even with the higher mileage this week I'm up from ~145 to ~147. Plus they taste good and cold after running in this heat.

Adam- I've had runs in August during the height of the meteor season where I have seen 30-50 in a 6 mile run. Since they usually peak from 2-3 am, I just do my normal 4 am run but head towards a dark road or field (or golf course). Course, I look silly with my head pointing skyward the whole run, and I sometimes trip over things.

Icees- good idea. I'm into the Nestle Quik right now- nothing like a glass of cool chocolate milk after a run.

From Adam RW on Fri, Aug 01, 2008 at 00:01:14

WOW! I thought I was good with 3 in one run. And YES Nestle Quik is a good one too. I've actually been using it as a topping for ice cream.

Hey Jon, Im coming up tommorrow night for the weekend. Are you and Cody up for a run?

From Jon on Fri, Aug 01, 2008 at 08:57:50

Walter- Cody, Paul, and myself will be running a race in Garland. You could come if you want. But all our running will be over there, not in Logan.

How far is it and can I register still?

From Jon on Fri, Aug 01, 2008 at 09:46:17

Low key 10k. $5 to register (no award, no shirt), plus $3 more for breakfast. None of us have registered yet. I ran it last year- you can look at my race report if you want.

From cody on Fri, Aug 01, 2008 at 10:14:45

Oh, crap. I am now bumped out of the top 3. Just kidding. Hope you can come Walter.

From Jon on Fri, Aug 01, 2008 at 10:17:44

No awards anyways, Cody. Besides, you are assuming that you can't beat us...

From Jon on Fri, Aug 01, 2008 at 13:32:41

Walter- call me at home this evening to let me know what you want to do. 435 787 4230.
