I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. AM- met Jim at the GE track for a BW.  Did 15 miles with 10 mp tempo (first mile 6:29 warm up, last mile 5:56, all others 6:03-6:13)- 1:40:05 for the run, 61:29 tempo.  Finished with a quick stop at the store for 1/2 gallon chocolate milk, then 1.5 cups oatmeal (before water) and blueberries for breakfast.  I'm hungry.

Lunch- 2 with Mike W + 3.

I have 88 miles in my last 4 days of running (don't run on Sundays).  That's on pace for 130 miles over a 6 day running week, and 152 if I ran 7 days a week.  I can't fathom how a few people actually run 200 miles a week.

You might even deserve 3/4 gallon of chocolate milk after that one - nice run!

I got the following from Camille Herron's blog. It's a training log for Bill Rogers. No 200 mile weeks but there's a 179 in there with several 150-160 range. Pretty amazing. I haven't looked at the other years. Of course I guess this doesn't help to understand how people do such high mileage, but it is still interesting.

Why was Mike Wardian at GE for lunch? And are you gunning for the full 130 or are you gonna throttle back to prepare for Saturday?

I often do M-W high, then back off a bit Thur/Fri.
