AM- Run on the rolling hills around my house.  Ran 14 miles, including 6 at tinman tempo effort.  Then had to go home since Marci is going out of town with some friends.  Took the girls to the gym and did 6 more.  20 miles total in about 2:25.

Only one word for how I feel right now- exhausted.  Plain tired and beat.

Here's a nice picture from the Mind Over Matter 15k website, showing the female winner crossing one of the log bridges.

Hey Jon. I've spent the last few days hanging out with Rod Smolla, the president of Furman. Furman is set to announce next week that they have hired Rob Gary, the current head coach at Ohio State and 1996 olympian to head their track and xc programs. Apparently they are going to dump lots of money into both teams. The goal is a national championship in cross country and the track emphasis will be on distance - much like Oklahoma State.

Nice race Jon, I read your wonderful race report. Looked like hell of a climb according to your gamrin profile.

Interesting news, Rob. Hope they are successful. If they need a coach to help with the ultra part of xc, point them my way.
