I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Hey Jon - you want to do me a favor? Could you hazard a guess as to what I might run the North Face 50 miler in SF in if I were trained properly?

Highly dependent on how you trained. And if you ran any 50's before then as training. If you did everything right, I'd imagine you could set a goal of 8 hrs, maybe even break that. But that's just a guess, since I've never set foot in NoCal.

Yeah, so we were thinking about the same time as you.

I put 7 hrs, which would be about top 10 most years. But I'll be running for place, not time. Again, hard to say without being there. Plus they modify the course sometimes year to year.
