TOU to canal to first dam.  Much drier than yesterday.

I had noticed a dull pain in the top of my left foot yesterday.  It was more noticeable today and grew progressively worse as my run went on.  For the last 3-4 miles, it really hurt, bad enough that I could barely run, almost limping on the last mile.  Not sure what to make of it.  If it hurts tomorrow, it could require a few days off.  We shall see.

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I have had something similar when I tighten my Brooks Burn's too tight. Bruising takes a few days to heal. Stay close to home so you are not making it worse by running unnecessarily...

Jon, Thanks for the comments! I really appreciate it. Sorry to hear about your injury as well. I love your long term running goal, now thats determination! Hope to see you at Ogden, take care of yourself.

I had the same issue as Cody mentions when I over tightened my shoes. I removed the laces from the top eyelets and that seemed to help. Also you could try the open lacing patterns, such as the lydiard lacing pattern. I have not tried it, but I have heard it works.

Sounds like you are little too tight laced Jon...

Jon I hope its not a stress fracture. My wife got that while training for st. george on a long run and its hard to heal from that. You watch that close! its better to heal now then in peak of summer. hope you figure it out buddy! Bye the way Im running Del sol so you I wont be doing the 10k with you. Ill still finish the series up there. just without the 10k. take care see ya
