I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Lunch- 3.  Really feeling quite sick.  That's two races in a row where I get sick a few days before.  It's a bad sign when you plan to run 4 but cut it short at 3 due to sickness, but have a 50k the next day.  Anyone think I shouldn't race tomorrow?  As Marci said, it's "only a 50k."

Yeah, it's "only a 50k." No big, right? But hey, if you think it will negatively affect you after the race it's not worth it IMO. On the other hand, if you think you'll be fine afterwards, even if the race is miserable, then go for it.

You're probably asleep by now, but I'd say don't run unless you're a cheapskate like me and don't want the money to go to waste. My kids keep getting me sick, too. At least I blame it on them.

did i say that? ha! If only I could run a 50K even a 5K would be nice. :)
