Personal:

I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Most years, my lowest racing weight is around 134-136 lbs (on my scale, which is about 4 lbs too light).  I weighed in this morning at 133- so I am skinny and ready to go!

Holy cow. How tall are you, 5'1"? I think I have you by 30 lbs. I think I weighed 133 in Jr High. And I'm pretty skinny now and only 6' tall.

Jun, I wrestled 119 lbs as a Jr in high school at 5'9", and I didn't have to drop any weight! My non-running weight is 145-155, and my max all-time is 170. I really have to be running a lot of miles to drop below 135... and trust me, I eat a TON. Just ask my wife- she complains every time she goes grocery shopping!

Funny you say that. I also weigh less than in high school. Not sure if I'm faster, but I sure can run farther. I was pretty super fast in high school.

I went on my mission at about 170 and gained 5 lbs while there. Oddly enough, the weight was more muscle than fat as I used to work out a lot. I bought a suit just before coming home and bought it large because everyone said I'd gain weight when I got home. However, within 6 months of coming home I started rock climbing and dropped almost 10 lbs. Since I started running I've dropped even more weight and sit right around the 160 mark. I still have that suit and it is still too big. Ha.

Hey Jon--it has just come to my attention that you are leaving Utah. Sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake. I wish you and your family the best in this new adventure. It has been a real pleasure to run with you and get to know you over the past few years--I only wish we could log a few more miles. I assume we will be able to follow you on the blog!

Good luck with everything. Perhaps I'll get to see you before you leave. You're a good man and a talented athlete. Any town would be fortunate to have you.
