AM- Dupont with Justin and Aaron.  Upper 40's at the start, low 50's at the finish, and overcast with threatening rain.  Rain must have kept everyone home cause I only saw 4 bikers and no one else the entire time.  Did 12 miles with the guys, then they went home while I did a while more by myself.  Given my sickness and out of shapeness and purposeful lack of calories, I knew it would be a slog.  It was.  What I didn't expect was my left ankle to seriously hurt on every single step.  It was quite painful, even though I can't recall twisting it and it's not swollen or anything.  Will monitor that.  Got the run done, though.  20.5 miles, under 3.5 hrs, 2500 ft climb.

Hey Jon. I don't know how far back you pop on people's blogs to check for a reply to a previous comment.

Bucca di Beppo is a great place for a large group wanting lots of carbs. They call themselves "Immigrant Italian Dining". Lots of red sauce instead of the more trendy Northern Italian food these days. It's family style so you pass around big dishes of ravioli, spaghetti, etc..

They have a big table that seats 12 called "The Pope's Table". It's got a bust of the Pope in the center under glass. Still haven't updated it to Francis.

It's a chain so you can check out their website.

We finalized Andy's adoption 7 years ago and went there after. So we've been going back every year on the same day.

Cool- I've never heard of it, but it looks like they are in Charlotte and Atlanta. I might have to try it sometime.
