Enjoy running, stay fit (and maybe lose a few pounds). Play ultimate frisbee.

Personal:

I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

AM- 5 miles running (in my brand new Pearl Izumi Pace shoes that I plan to use for my 100), then 1 mile xt.  Hip was nagging, but not painful.

5 miles isn't a lot of time and distance to get fully warmed up. I wonder if you'll find that your hip actually feels better the longer you go. As Crockett so eloquently put it the other day, well into a 100 miler it is about managing and prioritizing pain, not avoiding it. So maybe it won't be a big deal at that point anyway. Good luck.
